I call this body of work Senescence, inspired by the biological process of decay that occurs in living organisms. I am captivated by the chemical changes that emerge when I work with spent flower blossoms—when their conventional beauty has faded. After harvesting them from fields, I use the weight of my body to press the flowers onto my work surface, in a kind of dance. This tactile process—a fusion of nature and physicality—creates chromatographic monoprints that capture the inherent fragility and exquisite beauty of senescence, nature's natural aging process.
Each monoprint is ephemeral; time and exposure to light gradually erode their integrity. To preserve their vibrancy, I capture them digitally. In this way, their voluptuous color shapes, intricate patterns, and dynamic sense of movement are preserved—serving as endless inspiration for my drawings and paintings. It also enables me to produce large-scale prints, wall-sized films, and more. Recently, I've expanded my practice into functional art, transforming my work into everyday objects designed to use and wear.
